Holy
Light (TA) Church, located at 118-120 Jalan Bentara 2 Taman Ungku Tun Aminah,
was established in 1982. It does not only provide a venue for the worshippers,
it has also served the community through education.
As quoted from Allan Bloom,
“Education is the movement from darkness to light.” Holy Light (TA) Church sees
value in education, believing that education is the key to open doors and
windows to a future of hope and possibilities, especially for the less
privileged children. With such belief, the church started its collaboration with
Grace Covenant Community Care in 2012, to support their work in raising less
privileged children through providing them with a nurturing environment and
education.
This year, the church has decided to expand its contribution towards
the children in Grace Covenant Community Care by raising more funds and also
awareness amongst the public. “Rainbow Run” was chosen as the name of the run
as Rainbow symbolizes covenant between God and man, and also, it’s part of the logo
of Grace Covenant Community Care. Rainbow also generally symbolizes hope, which
in this case, the hope for these less privileged children.
